Dad of two · Licensed Texas agent

I'm Dakota Simmons.

I help families get coverage that lasts, and actually understand it.

“Families don't need to be burdened after a loved one is gone.”

A little about me.

Dad first.

I've got two kids. When I sit down with a family, I'm asking the same question I ask about mine: if something happened tomorrow, would they be okay?

Service.

I served in the U.S. Marine Corps, including two deployments. That's where the name ValorLife comes from, and it's why I take veterans' coverage personally.

Ball and books.

I played college baseball at an HBCU, then transferred to Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. Baseball taught me to show up prepared so the people counting on me never have to wonder. I bring that to every family I work with.

Why I do this.

For the peace of mind. When we're done, a family knows exactly what they have, and that the people they love will be taken care of. That moment never gets old.

How I work.

We meet by phone or video, whenever works for you, and my Texas license means I can help you anywhere in the state.

  • Built to last. Mostly whole life, IUL, and final expense: coverage that's still there when your family needs it. How each one works
  • Plain English. You'll know what you're paying for, what it pays, and what could change it, before you sign anything.
  • Straight answers. If a policy isn't right for you, or keeping what you have is the better move, I'll say so.
  • Home base. Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Hemphill, Jasper, Center, San Augustine, Kirbyville, Woodville, Livingston, and the roads between.

Check me out.

Every Texas insurance agent has to be licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. Here's mine. Look it up yourself.

One agent. Nine companies.

I didn't sign on with every company out there. I chose these because they're strong for the families I work with. Then I find the one that fits yours.

  • Mutual of Omaha
  • Transamerica
  • Americo
  • Corebridge Financial
  • Foresters Financial
  • Royal Neighbors of America
  • American-Amicable
  • Ethos
  • Aetna

Let's talk it through.

Leave your name and number and I'll call you back myself. I'll ask a few questions, run your numbers with the companies I write for, and walk you through what I find. Talking costs nothing, and you're not signing anything on that call.

I'll only use your number to call you about coverage.
