Life insurance · Deep East Texas

GoFundMe is not life insurance.

A fundraiser asks your friends to cover what you leave behind. A policy means they don't have to. Your price is set by your age and health the day you apply.

Help the family cover Dad's funeral

Still $6,160 short.

An example, not a real fundraiser. The goal is the 2023 national median for a funeral with a viewing and burial (NFDA). A policy pays while it's in force.

One agent. Nine companies.

I didn't sign on with every company out there. I chose these because they're strong for the families I work with. Then I find the one that fits yours.

  • Mutual of Omaha
  • Transamerica
  • Americo
  • Corebridge Financial
  • Foresters Financial
  • Royal Neighbors of America
  • American-Amicable
  • Ethos
  • Aetna

Veterans

You served. Now cover the people who waited on you.

VGLI is the easy box to check on the way out. I've filled out that paperwork myself, so I know how it works, and I'll be straight with you: the price climbs every five years for as long as you keep it. For a lot of veterans there are better long-term options. Let me show you both.

VGLI, $500,000 of coverage, per month

  • Age 30–34$40
  • Age 60–64$425
  • Age 80+$2,200

VA rates as of July 1, 2025.

  • The house note is still due next month. So is the truck.
  • About half of Americans have any life insurance at all.

Your family will grieve either way. Whether they also have to pass a hat is up to you.

Coverage that doesn't run out.

I mainly write three kinds of policy, all built to last your whole life.

Compare all three, in plain words
  1. Whole life

    Coverage for life. No surprises.

    You pay
    Fixed. It never goes up
    Cash value
Grows at a guaranteed rate. You can borrow against it
  2. Indexed universal life (IUL)

Lifetime coverage with room to grow.

    You pay
Flexible. Pay more in good years, less in lean ones, within the policy's limits
    Cash value
Interest tied to a market index, with a floor
  3. Final expense

The funeral and final bills, handled.

    You pay
Fixed. A smaller policy, so a smaller payment
    Cash value
    A small amount

Need term? I write it when it's the right fit. It covers a set number of years and costs less up front, but it ends. My focus is coverage that's still there when your family needs it, whenever that is.

Your kitchen table. My home office.

No office to drive to and nobody sitting in your living room. We talk by phone or video, whenever works for you.

  1. Call, or leave your number.

Tell me who you want to protect. That's all I need to start.

  2. We talk it through.

On a lunch break, between shifts, or after the kids are down. I ask who counts on you, what you owe, and what fits the budget.

  3. I shop. You pick.

I run your numbers with the companies I write for and lay the options side by side. Pick one, or don't. No hard sell from me.

More about me

The reasons people put this off.

Isn't life insurance expensive?

Less than most people guess. Your price comes down to your age, your health, and how much coverage you want, and final expense policies are built for tight budgets. The only way to know your number is to run it.

I already have coverage through work.

Good. Find out how much it is and what happens to it if you leave, retire, or get laid off. Group coverage is usually tied to the job. Plenty of people keep it and add a policy they own outright.

I've got health problems. Can I still get covered?

Often, yes. Every company looks at health a little differently, which is one reason I shop more than one. Many final expense policies ask a few health questions instead of requiring an exam. I'll tell you exactly what you qualify for.

See what it would cost you.

Leave your name and number and I'll call you back myself. I'll ask a few questions, run your numbers with the companies I write for, and walk you through what I find. Talking costs nothing, and you're not signing anything on that call.

Who are you looking to protect?

I'll only use your number to call you about coverage.
